Ben BRown
Stories of US

Ben is a former primary deputy head with 17 yeras experience in schools, including working in an enhanced mainstream school working with children with SEMH needs.

He now runs Education Roundtables, a network for primary headteachers – supporting them and their schools to connect, collaborate and change.

mICHAELA LAWSON
CREATING SAFE SPACES FOR ALL RACIAL GROUPS

Michaela is an experienced teacher and race and racism expert. Founder of Building Anti-Racist Education, she is dedicated to creating safer spaces for people of all racial backgrounds in the UK. She, along with all who work at BARE, believes that with the right anti-racism training and education, individuals can implement change and have a positive impact on the whole community.

ANN PALMER

Ann is the CEO and founder of Fig Tree International which aims to support and challenge individuals, groups and organisations with developing and delivering world class education. 

She is also the creator of the RACE Charter Mark which offers a formal way of championing race equality.

MATT PINKETT

Matt Pinkett is an English teacher in Surrey with a personal and professional interest in gender and masculinity in schools. He is co-author of the best selling book Boys Don’t Try. Matt has also blogged and written for several publications and delivers regular CPD sessions on the topic of teaching and masculinity.

His latest book is ‘Boys Do Cry’.

NIC PONSFORD

Nic is the founder of the Global Equality Collective (GEC) and has won multiple awards for her work in EdTech and Diversity, Equality and Inclusion.

The GEC platform is a cloud based analytical tool designed to allow schools to tackle diversity and inclusion.

CATHAL LYNCH

Cathal is a former SEMH headteacher, National Director of Day Schools, MAT Cofounder and COO. He has written a book “Building Belonging” and has worked on the development of the Wellbeing Quality Mark, which is designed to support recruitment and retention of staff and drive school improvement.

DAVE MCPARTLIN
Dare to Dream & The Power of Belonging

Dave is the headteacher of Flakefleet Primary School, but you might remember him from Britain’s Got Talent, when he and his school dared to dream and become Golden Buzzer Finalists.
He has presented on BBC Bitesize and continues to campaign to improve education, including for reform to Ofsted.
